A Note Regarding Confidentiality/Non-Disclosure Agreements
Like the vast majority of early stage or growth investors, we don't sign confidentiality agreements (CAs) or non-disclosure agreements (NDAs). Ever. Please know it's not because we will mistreat your information. Our reputation is far too important to us.
It's just a matter of:
(1) Practicality - we'd never do anything but review agreements
(2) Risk - unfortunately there's a long history of entrepreneurs thinking people stole their idea when in fact they did not. However, it costs the investors lots of time and money in the process (and if there's something so easy to replicate from growth plan documents or financial models, is there really a big idea there?)
